And now, a scientific test to provide conclusive evidence as to whether or not Lang Lang sounds better on drugs, or if he just plain sucks.

*shoots up, watches video*

.....aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhh...wooooooooooooAAAAAAhhhh, duuuuuuu-uuuuuuuuude. this video is so....uh....um.......er......what's the word........good. I WON'T EVERbbe able to paly LIKE THAT. not even horrorwitch could bust it out so nicely.

*next day*

Well, this proves it, folks. Lang Lang DOES indeed sound good when you listen to him on drugs. But, on the other hand, I wish to make it perfectly clear that our investigative task force has revealed that this performance was not made while the pianist himself was doing crack; in fact, this is how he plays when he is perfectly sober. When stoned, Lang Lang's playing is reputedly comparable to that of a drunk Geoffery Storm.
One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.

You know, some people just have natural talents-like some people play the piano but aren't very tall.

LOL - I was doing a little research on Lang Lang and this thread popped up. He is playing a couple shows at the Hollywood Bowl with Gustavo Dudamel (no Chopin this summer! Boo!) that I am working on, and while I enjoy his music a lot...it seems like the jury may be out? 8) If anyone wants to either come see the show OR know relevant info so it can be avoided, you can find that here: http://www.Hbowl.com/Gustavo.
