So, what would it be? Mine's Valses Nobles et Sentimentales, followed by Miroirs.

Pavane.

For me the piece is about respectful remembrance and hope. The integrity of the melody line never ceases to amaze me everytime I hear it, even in a mellow club mix of the piece I recently heard. I think it is one of the strongest melodies ever trusted to paper, yet when it is performed, be it by a pianist, a symphonic orchestra or house DJ, it remains fragile.

Maybe I am being too sentimental.

I haven't heard them all, but from the first four in the list it's Gaspard.

I like Valse Nobles et Sentimentales, but Gaspard rules all.

Darn, I seem to have misspelled Gaspard. :|

Heh, I knew most people would choose that one...

I chose it, for the fact that I've only heard that one and Miroirs, which is also quite good.

Though I'm not too enamored of Ravel, I must say that the Miroirs are my favorite of those listed of his pieces.
