What is it?

Mine: The Bosendorfer Chopin Special Edition in an Amboyna veneer.
    *drools*.

(What would you say the starting price is? $150,000?)

Same here, although I've heard rumors that my new college actually has one (an Imperial), along with a Steinway D...I shall have to investigate this farther. I have searched for an Imperial for at least 5 years, with no luck. I am also, btw, in love with the Chopin Edition Bosies. Believe it or not, I've played on three of them--and yet I still haven't touched an Imperial!

My other, slightly more obscure dream pianos are the Fazioli concert grand (I'm not sure I'd go for their largest model, but the 9' oughta be awesome--I've only played on a 7.5' or so), the C. Bechstein concert grand, and whatever the largest model of the Gaveau line is--I love that tone! Hard to come by today, though, if they're still even being manufactured. That was a rare pleasure, playing one.

I'd also like to own a Pleyel upright or perhaps a medium sized, whatsitmacalled (about 5.5-6') grand.

I think I played on one like that too, lovely tone...but the look of that,imo...yuck

I don't think I 've tried enough to have a dream one yet, but at this moment , I will go with that six four (something like that) Petrof model 4 ```hmmm, I like that mainly because the commercial I saw in Canada .But again, I have no problem living with a glossy black Yamaha either. (well, not an upright , I hope)

btw, the imperial Bosendorfer have 97keys, rights? what are the ones with 93 keys called? (sounding ignorant?)
