Waltz in E flat major

Postby Rach4 » 07 Apr 2005, 22:49

What do you think? It was written for submission as coursework for GCSE music and finished today.

Most of it is in the style of Chopin, the structure is like rondo form but sometimes there are consecutive episodes.

The tempi and dynamics of the midi file are generally messed up because I was in a rush.

Any comments?

The only critisism i have is of the opening section, it is to for lack of a better word: abrupt. Actually, when listening to the piece and the beginning comes right after the end...its sounds right. Other than that, it had a lot of motion, i loved it.

Oh, GCSE coursework, I remember that stuff. I also did a piece in rondo, but it was for an orchestra, and certainly harmonically was much further in time than it was supposed to be.

I don´t usually listen to these kind of compositions because the lack of work behind them and the lack of "seriousness".. Still, I listened to this composition and I must say I liked it alot!

Don´t know what else to say, perhaps you will provide us with the score soon?

There are some differences between the score and the midi, because I altered bits after I made the midi file.
