a melody worthy of being written!

how do you think of one Imean its hard to make one that relay is worth listening too? Istarted to rite this piano concetrto in the style of betthoven /mozart and the melody sounds classical but its to short and sounds more like a suspention you now a famouse mozart one ex.e to eb.anyone have advice Itryed playing around with it but,itsw not coming to much .

well, don't beat yourself up over your inabity to put a melody on paper, i am sure you, in time will find this ability as attuned itself

I spoke with Oscar Peterson about this a while ago. He said that before he began writing melodies on paper he would improvise on the melodies of others, with practice you learn how to improvise using different harmonic patterns. But there's not really much you can do if you're just "bad" at writing melodies.
