Beethoven Sonata no.9, I

Recorded on my Yamaha U1. I was going for a faster, larger interpretation.

Suggestions and feedback welcome!

Hi there,
Nice performance. I liked your continuity, varied tone, and overall structure for this beethoven sonata movement.

A few suggestions:
-focus on phrasing (imo, the ends of phrases (especially two-note slurs) should never be accented. Maybe build up to the high point of each phrase and let the last note(s) finish the complete thought. (1:11 was good in this respect)
-Some evenness problems (0:16, 1:39, 3:22...)
-The development got off slowly, and the resulting left hand arpeggios weren't as flowing the rest of the movement... check your exposition speed and play the middle at that speed, and that should help.
-stronger 1st chord in the recapitulation

I hope these were helpful to you. Keep working along, and it's going to be great.
